A round table activity was organized by project partners on May 24th, entitled “Collaboration    for the economic   empowerment of the survivors of trafficking and violence”, at the premises of the Europe House.  This activity corresponds to the project launch event.

The main purpose of the round-table was to create awareness among key stakeholders on local and central level, representatives of civil society organizations, embassies representatives etc., on a new undertaken initiative that aims to increase the capacity of civil society organizations in Albania in providing reintegration services to victims of trafficking and domestic violence and achieve a harmonic social inclusion of former victims of trafficking and domestic violence, mainly through sustainable economic empowerment solutions.

[1]The keynote speakers of the roundtable were: H.E Mrs. Ambassador Romana Vlahutin- EU Delegation, Mrs.  Eglantina Gjermeni  – Deputy of the  Albanian Parliament/ Head of Subcommittee on Gender Equality and Prevention of Violence against Women, Mrs. Ardiana Jaku, the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection,  Mr. Stavri Lako – Ministry of Finance and Economy and Mrs. Anila Trimi – Ministry of Interior.

Project partners highly appreciated the personal and institutional commitment of all the keynote speakers of the roundtable and especially of H.E. Mrs. Ambassador Romana Vlahutin in support to the protection and sustainable reintegration of victims of trafficking and domestic violence.

Representatives of civil society organizations shared as well valuable opinions and recommendations needed towards increasing protection, assistance and empowerment of former victims in Albanian society. A total of 62 persons attended the round table.
