After surviving a difficult trafficking situation, Ana returned to Albania. She needed time to adapt, to realize that she was already safe and that everything that had passed belonged to the past. Returning to her homeland was not just a relocation. It was a comeback to resume the things she had once interrupted, in the hope of having a better life outside Albania.

Economic Empowerment for Reintegration of Trafficking Survivors

D&E’s work with trafficked girls and women survivors is focused on economic empowerment. D&E assists program participants in their attempts to achieve success in the job market by the provision of advice and assistance through work counselling and career development. Beneficiaries are trained individually and in groups on how to prepare for employment, with support, advice and knowledge.

M. trafficking survivor, beneficiary of the organization “Different & Equal” had to face job loss as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Faced with this situation, after finishing a professional tailoring course and experience in a studio she thought of opening a tailoring shop,near the place she lived. She proposed this idea to the organisation, which assisted her.
